Yes! Substantial increases year after year, and the Nevada Hemp association highly encourages new farmers to join!

2) Is there a Maximum/Minimum Production Size for growing hemp?

The NDA has not implemented any area restrictions related to hemp. The applicant can apply to produce as much or as little hemp as they desire so long as their property is appropriately zoned for agricultural production

3) How can hemp be used and sold?

Hemp is a highly diverse crop that can be used for fiber, grain, hemp seed oil, Cannabidiol (CBD) oil and other processed products. If hemp is used for the production and sale of CBD oil, the product must not be marketed with any medical/health claims or used as a food ingredient, per the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA). Hemp may be used for various food products upon approval from your local health authority, however FDA’s restriction applies to CBD products specifically.

4) What do I need to include in a hemp grower application?

The application requires information on the location, parcel number, jurisdictional approval, varieties, landowner approval, among other criteria. All information must be current, and the application must include proof of land ownership and a map of the intended hemp production location. All areas with production activities (germination to harvest) should be addressed on the map.

Grower Certificate:

     -Acreage Fee: $5.00/Acre, or;
     -Square Footage Fee: $0.33/1,000 Square Feet
Seed Producer Certificate:
     -Application fee: $100.00
     -Acreage Fee: $5.00/Acre
     -Square Footage Fee: $0.33/1,000 Square Feet
Handler Certificate:
     -Application Fee: $1,000.00
